A Visual Narrative Rooted in the City
Puma has officially unveiled Stade Rennais FC’s new 2026–27 home kit. Rather than leaning into exaggerated retro aesthetics, the design team chose to draw inspiration from the city’s most authentic visual identity. Built around the club’s iconic red-and-black palette, the shirt takes its core design language from the half-timbered houses that define Rennes’ historic city centre. These architectural lines have been subtly transformed into refined tonal patterns woven across the front, sleeves, and upper back of the jersey. The understated graphic treatment adds impressive visual depth while reinforcing the inseparable bond between the club and the Breton capital.
A Restrained Expression of Classic Identity
The attention to detail throughout the kit is particularly refined. A clean black crew neck, matching sleeve cuffs, and black side inserts provide strong visual balance against the dominant red base. On the chest, the white Puma logo and club crest create a timeless red, black, and white composition. Both main sponsor Samsic and rear sponsor Blot appear in white lettering, preserving the shirt’s clean overall aesthetic. One of the most meaningful touches sits beneath the back collar: the club motto “#ToutDonner” (“Give Everything”). Positioned where players can see it as they raise their heads, the phrase serves as a constant reminder of the responsibility and pride carried by anyone wearing the shirt.
Elite Performance Meets Sustainable Innovation
From a technical standpoint, the new kit continues the dual focus on performance and sustainability now expected across Europe’s top leagues. The Authentic player version features Puma’s ULTRAWEAVE 2.0 fabric technology, delivering an ultra-lightweight feel while allowing unrestricted movement during high-intensity competition. The fan replica version incorporates dryCELL moisture-management technology, improving comfort and breathability for everyday wear. More importantly, aside from decorative elements, both versions are produced through the RE:FIBRE recycling initiative and made from 100% recycled materials. It is a clear statement of environmental responsibility and aligns perfectly with the growing demand for sustainable sportswear across the European football market.
A Complete Matchday Symbol
The full home kit has been designed with equal care. The black shorts feature red side inserts, with the club crest and brand logo placed on opposite legs. The socks complete the identity perfectly: the black base carries a white Puma logo alongside the traditional ermine symbol of Brittany, while red trim around the top mirrors the shirt’s primary colour accents. Worn throughout the 2026–27 Ligue 1 season, this kit is more than just match apparel. It stands as a visual embodiment of the pure, united, and passionate community culture that defines the atmosphere inside Roazhon Park.
