The Croatian Football Federation (HNS) has unveiled the new 2026 World Cup home and away jerseys for the national team. The design of this new jersey series draws inspiration from a pivotal match in Croatian football history: the 1990 game against the United States. At that time, Croatia had just gained independence and stepped onto the world stage with a brand-new identity and pride.
This design connects that era, which laid the foundation of Croatian football spirit, with the confidence and composure of the modern team, highlighting heritage, resilience, and strength.

The home jersey reinterprets Croatia’s iconic checkerboard pattern with finer proportions, aligning with contemporary aesthetics. This is not a simple replica, but a faithful recreation: retaining the classic lineage and visual impact while injecting modern vitality, perfectly balancing historical heritage with high-performance requirements.
